The end of our zoo membership?

Last year we decided to get zoo passes. It seemed like a good idea because (1) the Buffalo Zoo is only 30 minutes from our house, (2) we were taking a trip to visit family in Florida and the Tampa Zoo was just "down the road," and (3) our zoo passes allowed us discounts on zoos all over the country. Oh, and by the way, Elijah is a HUGE animal fanatic. To him this might just have been the... Best. Idea. Ever.

Over the past year, our family has been treated to a wide-variety of God's wondrous creations. From roaring lions and swimming polar bears to ball-rolling elephants and the playful monkeys. However, the biggest "treat" of them all has been watching our children react and interact to all the animals in the "wild kingdom." While Josiah was still a little young to understand what was going on, Elijah was in his glory. He became so familiar with the animals, and the park itself, that the Buffalo Zoo is looking to hire him to direct their summer tours.

Sadly, our passes expired at the end of March, but we think it's safe to say that renewal is in our near future. (And thanks to the unusual "winter" weather we experienced, we were able to "squeeze out" a couple extra trips with family and friends before the month ended.)
